Needles, Parties and attention

Oh what a busy few days it has been this weekend! On Friday Calder got some needles (vaccinations) and boy, did he not like that! He was in all sorts of bad moods for the rest of the day and night.

Only his mom's cuddles could calm him down enough at night for him to finally get some rest. Mom gets a lot of practice, Calder loves being held by her.

Saturday was another busy day. His grandmother and his aunt Colleen came over Friday night to spend some time with Calder and his family. That gave his Mom and Dad a chance to do some shopping. And look what we found! A Toronto Maple Leafs Infant Car Seat Cover. Woohoo!

It goes so well with his new Leafs outfit that his Dad bought him earlier in the week. He wore that to the big birthday party on Saturday night. Calder was a patient boy, overflowing in Leafs attire, but waiting through 90 minutes of traffic. That patience will suit him well. Maybe he will get to see them win a Stanley Cup in his lifetime. Bob and Joanne gave Calder a really neat toy that grabs Calder's attention immediately. His eyes open up so wide, we all wonder what he is thinking. You will see him in action with the toy later this week here.

What a growing boy he is. Becoming more attentive each day. His whole body is getting stronger and stronger, and his feet are already too big for the sleepers that fit his body. He'll likely have large feet when he is older.

We even had visitors on Monday! Steve and Heidi passed by to see Calder for the first time. Heidi is a nurse and Steve just loves kids, so Calder got a lot of attention, and even a talking bear! Dad thinks Calder will have a lot of fun with that bear. Steve and Heidi should come over more often... Calder, mom, dad and Finn all enjoyed their company. Pictures of Calder and the bear are bound to turn up here soon. Thank you for the gift.
