Busy Weekend


Hi everyone. It's been a busy weekend. Calder has been handling it alright very well. Smiling or sleeping through most of it.



He's a pretty happy boy these days. Chubby too!!! He's outgrowing so many of his clothes. He even outgrew the car. Mommy and Daddy picked up a new car on Saturday so that Calder can be safer when travelling with his parents.



Calder seems to really like the new car, he was in it so much this weekend. After picking up the car, he went with us to choose a sofa. I am glad I had my wife with me or I would have choosen a really cool sofa... a mint green one that I thought was grey. FUN FUN!!!



We then came home and I finished putting together a home gym that I got so we could workout and get back into shape. Since it is in the house, there are no excuses. We did a quick workout with Calder watching, and after his bath, he wanted to workout too!



He's quite the strong little guy. Always trying to show how much he can do and how strong he is. And he's likely not as sore today as his parents.



Here he is trying to hurry up to get out of the house on Saturday. I bought Marlies tickets for my nephew as a birthday gift and Calder was going to the craft show with his mom and Aunt Colleen. I can't wait to take him to a hockey game in a couple of years. Maybe his cousin will want to come with us?



Calder saw his cousin for a bit after the game then again the next at the birthday party for their avô. Here are the three of them blowing out the candles on the cake. Calder needs some practice, he hasn't seen it done before!



I took the day off work today to spend some time with my family. As Christmas approaches, spare time is gone, especially with the work schedule I have in the next few weeks, so it was important to spend some time now. Calder and his bear reminded me that I forgot to call Steve & Heidi back this weekend. I am sorry! I'll call you soon.



Goodnight Calder. Daddy loves you!

    Haha! It looks like he loves his bear! Don't worry about not calling ... we totally understand! Maybe we can get together in the next week or so! Probably not on the weekend though. We will likely be heading to my sister's, who just had a baby boy! They named him Emmitt (I wonder if she watched Dancing with the Stars ...) Calder is really growing with each passing day! What a handsome little man!

    What a great post, Gary! Calder is lucky to have a dad like you to post such lovely pictures and thoughts about his goings-on in life!

    Even though I can sneak into his nursery now and take a look at him sleeping, and spend all day with him, I love looking at photos of him on the blog. :)

    Hi Calder!

    I love all your pictures. It's great that you have a workout regime. I have been trying my best to stay in shape these days too. As you know, I will be going to Italy soon and I hear the ladies are pretty cute (hee, hee). Hope you have a great week.
