Oh, hello!

Hello world! Calder is certainly starting to take in his world. He changes so much each day. When I get home from work, I swear he already has a different look than when I left in the morning.

He spends a lot of time with his mommy during the day. My wife is a teacher and has taught junior kindergarten recently. Her skills shine through. Calder is blossoming. Without her, he wouldn't get a song sung to him on-key.

Calder has been stuffing his mouth with his hands, blankets, bibs, pretty much anything and everything he can get his hands on.

I am often too excited to see him when I get home from work that I don't have everything new he's done sink in. All I want to do is hold him and make him laugh. His smile is so wonderful. Catching it on camera is difficult though.

Calder has been getting stronger each day. Here he is practicing his grip. He's practicing his grip-twist actually. It's where he grabs a part of your body, squeezes his grip and hard as he can, then twists rapidly before repeating it all. I wonder if that's how wrestlers start building strength as babies.

Calder loves this chair. He absolutely loves it. Whether the arch of animals is on it or not, there is something about this chair that he loves. It does look comfortable and relaxing. Maybe I should get a chair like this.

His hair is growing so fast. By Christmas he'll have a full head of hair. OK, maybe not "full", but full by my standards. ;-)

Goodnight Calder. Daddy loves you!

  1. Hi Calder,

You look very cute in your pictures. I hope that we can go for a walk very soon. Your mommy told me that you are sleeping very well these days. It is important that you get lots of rest and let mommy and daddy rest too! Parker is just having a nap now (he has been a little crazy today). I know that he will love the day when he can play with you!

    Love,

    Tracy and Parker

  2. Calder looks like he's grown, even since we saw him just last week! And his hair is longer, too! He is so sweet, and you are great parents. I enjoy reading your Daddy blog, Gary.
