The growing problem was that he is becoming so active, that he keeps trying to turn over and you see the problem...swallowing water. I knew he was ready to sit up and play with some water toys, so I bought this Duck bath thinking it would be great - it's inflatable, so nice and soft for him, and he can sit up in it without a problem. I played with it with him for a while and ran a bath. BIG mistake.
Calder screamed as he has never screamed before - in fear, I think.

On another note, I finally got the picture of the time Calder and I were in our Friday fitness class and someone snapped a picture of him and I in the same pose. It is so cute. :) I still have another month of this class and then I start up a 3-month session of StrollerFit every week. Here's hoping that I can see more of a difference in myself soon! I was planning to post a picture of me pre-pregnancy at our Jack and Jill party and how I look now, but I'll spare you the details. :) Good news is, is that from my highest pregnancy weight (just before I gave birth) I have lost at least 29 pounds (ok, ok, some of that was Calder in there and all other related pregnancy stuff) - and that is the last time I checked my weight in January. Only another 27 to go! Hee hee! Half-way there! They say 9 months up, 9 months down. That means 27 pounds in 3 months? Yikes.
On a sad note for Calder and I, our Babyville class has ended. I enjoyed it immensely, and I think Calder did, too. It was a chance for me to meet new Moms like myself and Calder got some interaction, too. It's the cutest thing to see two babies reaching out for each other. Even though it is over, we have made some friends, I think - at least one. We already went to a movie with our babies once - and plan on doing it again this week!
The rest of this week will be busy - Calder and I are trying to go visit my friend Joanna and her baby Scott (who is 1 week older than Calder). Calder also has his 6-month appointment on Wednesday for his needles. Thursday is the movie and Friday is our fitness class. The weekend is just as crazy - and we'll definitely have lots to post then! :)
Have a wonderful week!
P.S. I had a dream last night that Calder spoke his first words at 6 months (so, now?!) - it was horsie. LOL - do you think that dream means something? :)
Good Morning, Calder!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of you & your Mommy doing yoga! It's definitely a picture for the scrapbook :)
I like your little tub that your Mommy bought you as well. I'm sure soon you'll enjoy it in the tub as much as you do in your play area.
Mommy was looking at some older entries of your blog the other day and she can't believe how much you have changed!!! My Mommy is also trying to lose the baby weight - she's very mad though because 2 weeks after I was born, she was in clothes she couldn't even wear before she was pregnant with me...however, once she stopped breastfeeding, all the weight came back on so she's pretty upset about that. Oh well, we're worth it, right Calder? lol
You should remind your Mommy to post your 6 month picture as well :)
Have a good day - stay warm!
Rachel xo
